New Book by Jan Tighe Explores Humanity’s Capacity to Live with Compassion

Dog Ear Publishing reviews a new book starring a tiny protagonist with a big mission – to help humanity reach its greatest potential.

Indianapolis, IN, March 08, 2017 --(PR.com)-- From his home in Central Park in New York City, Bogus has a special mission: to find people who show kindness and love for one another and share it with others. His story is featured in a new book released by Dog Ear Publishing.

Bogus is a spider who, instead of dying when winter comes, hibernates and wakes up in spring. His mission was given to him by a Higher Power who just happens to stack the deck in humans’ favor even when hardship arises. Bogus is helped by the ability to freeze time when someone comes into contact with his web. He holds them for a time before they are released to fulfill their destiny.

The beautiful Julia Grace is one of those he captures, as is Jackson Thomas, and a meeting that’s not quite chance will save the life of one and ultimately break the heart of the other. A devastating computer-controlled terrorist attack at night in New York City leads to disastrous results, but one voice will make itself heard and deliver a powerful message of hope. A talented singer will repeat that message of hope in a celebration of survival in Central Park.

These stories and others in “Webcam” poignantly capture the experience of God moving in lives and the compassion that binds humanity together.

Author Jan Tighe spent more than 30 years in church ministry, working for more than 20 years at a Catholic church before retiring. After working in pastoral care, she needed another outlet for her compassion and desire to help people heal. She believes writing helps her fulfill that mission.

She and her husband have been married for 46 years and have two daughters, two sons-in-law and four grandchildren.
