Gynecology and Laparoscopic Surgeons, PC, Releases on Laparoscopy

Raleigh, NC, February 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Lisa Roberts, president and CEO of Gynecology and Laparoscopic Surgeons, PC (www.glsi.info), has announced the release of a podcast discussing laparoscopy, a procedure in which a laparoscope is inserted into the abdomen through a small incision allowing the doctor to view the area on a television monitor. In the podcast, Dr. Roberts discusses what a laparoscopy is, the uses and benefits of laparoscopy, as well as the laparoscopy procedure. Dr. Roberts also details what a woman should expect following a laparoscopy in terms of recovery. The podcast is now available for download at www.mmimarketing.com/podcast/laparoscopy-101.

“Laparoscopy can be used to diagnose and treat many problems, including hysterectomies, the removal of ovarian cysts and ovaries, uterine fibroids, endometriosis and ectopic pregnancies,” says Dr. Roberts. “This procedure has several benefits over traditional open surgery, including less pain, smaller incisions and quicker recovery time. This podcast provides valuable information on laparoscopy that all women should hear.”
