West Elevation Bolsters Spectrum of Architectural Services

Firm hires new positions to increase focus on interiors and art projects

Steamboat Springs, CO, February 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- West Elevation Architects Inc., an award-winning architectural firm specializing in modern architecture, has created two additional positions hiring Carolyn Corogin to concentrate on interior design services and Beth Banning to coordinate intrinsic art projects.

Carolyn Corogin joins West Elevation as senior architect and custom design specialist, having previously owned her own architecture and interior design business, Callahan Corogin Studio Ltd., in Bangkok, Thailand. Carolyn has extensive experience in architectural design, specializing on interior space planning, lighting, textiles, carpets, art direction, and custom furniture design. Corogin holds a Bachelor of Design with Honors from the University of Florida, a Masters in Architecture from the University of Illinois, and is licensed in Illinois and Hawaii.

Beth Banning, the firm’s new intrinsic art specialist, brings her diverse artistic background to West Elevation. As a long-time exhibiting artist, Beth’s knowledge and appreciation of art will enable the firm to seamlessly integrate varieties of art styles and pieces into the firm’s overall design concepts.

“We are a complete resource for new construction and remodel designs,” said Katherine Kiefer, founding partner of West Elevation Architects. “West Elevation is very proud to design structures which are inspired by the client and enhanced by our team’s expertise and ingenuity.”

West Elevation’s ability to artfully blend styles, materials and environmental surroundings can be seen in the October 2007 issue of Architectural Digest. The eight-page feature on the 3X Lucky Ranch illustrates West Elevation’s talents to create a distinctive one-of-a-kind residence. Kiefer and Scott Myller of West Elevation along with Robyn Morgenstern Rosenblatt of Morningstar Architecture & Development designed the 3X Lucky Ranch collaboratively. 3X Lucky Ranch was two years in the planning and design stages and took another two years to construct. The home was built by Gillaspie Construction of Steamboat Springs, CO.

In addition to customary architectural services, West Elevation offers a comprehensive line of interior design services, including furniture and lighting design, providing clients a diversified resource for all building and remodeling needs. With an innovative, artful sense, West Elevation incorporates purposeful design and selects unique building materials to create structures reflective of the environment and the client’s vision.
