)-- Robynn Lin Fredericks has signed on for the film short, Wide Open, a dramatic thriller, written by Darla Phillips. The film is a pre-curser to the award winning full feature script. When Jesse Mack's, played by Jeff Townsend, airplane is stolen from the tarmac of an international airport in Mexico, he realizes he is the target of rogue federal agents with an agenda. Jesse soon finds himself detained in a federal prison with his bail denied, and his rights as a U.S. citizen stripped away under the guise that he is a threat to national security. Jesse sits in prison facing what is possibly one of the earliest attempts to prosecute an American born citizen, on U.S. soil, under the Patriot Act. The protagonist and the events of this screenplay are based on real life happenings. The film is produced by Wide Open Pictures and directed by Paige Brien of GlowStix Studios. Robynn plays the role of "Jenni," the wife of the accused pilot, and is fighting to hold her family together and win against enormous odds. Robynn is represented by Dona Kay Waterman, Famous Faces Entertainment.
