INSTALLATION|music Project Announces Performer Lineup & Heading Toward Kickstarter Success

Binghamton, NY, May 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The INSTALLATION|music collaborators announce the performers and dates for the sessions taking place in the Main Gallery of the Bundy Museum of Art and History and online through Live Stream. In tandum, they report that their Kickstarter Campaign is 67% funded.

The project has drawn in performers from New Mexico, Kansas City, and around New York state — including suspension artists, a magician, and a mix of musical styles. The artists are supported by a grant from the Broome County Arts Council United Cultural Fund. Performance “sessions” (as the project dubs them) will be August 3–11. Throughout INSTALLATION|music, the artist AmarA will be painting a multi-piece mural while her prime collaborator, jk, will be live streaming the event online. The final painting will be revealed at an Invitation Only Masked | Reveal Ball.

“The project began when David Bowie died,” performance painter & organizer AmarA states, “It is about transformation: Personal, physical, spiritual, social, political, global. Each performer I will be painting with brings a unique perspective, the painting is the continuity. To be bringing this kind of experimental art to the confluence and our twilight zone, and exporting it back out through the tech of the millennium is thrilling and unique.”

The project is being sponsored by the Bundy Museum of History and Art, Tri-Cities Opera (which will also be performing August 9), Broome Stage Referrals (IATSE Local #54), I am Horror Productions, and Sound Concepts, in addition to the funds they are generating on the Kickstarter, which runs through June 13.

“Our sponsors and grant are really covering the nuts and bolts of the installation. Making it happen.” AmarA explains, “We are running the Kickstarter because personal interaction and investment in real and unique art: It creates individual character and is how we shape our society. It is a connection that will be true as long as the painting lasts. That is why every single Backer’s name is being written on the back of the canvases for posterity.”

Having a piece of the mural for your own is one of the tiered rewards as well, along with t-shirts, posters, a behind-the-scenes live stream, & an invitation to the enigmatic Masked | Reveal Ball.
