Dharma Publications Publishes a Book Written on Palmone Handheld

Glen Ellyn, IL, February 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Author Bansi Pandit of Dharma Publications, Inc. has written his book completely on a Palmone handheld and published it on lulu.com, the online market place for digital content.

Mr. Pandit seized the opportunity to use his idle time while commuting to and from work by train, writing his 126-page book on Kashmiri Pandits on his Palmone Zire 72 handheld, using its Note Pad for writing the manuscript and Documents to Go feature of the handheld for reading the source materials.

By dividing the manuscript into short paragraphs, Mr. Pandit drafted the entire book while traveling in the train. It took him 10 weeks to publish the book.

Mr. Pandit says, “Only a few years back, I couldn’t have imagined that I would use my travel time in the train to write a book and the publisher to bring it out. Thanks to Palmone & Lulu I am now a proud author of another published book.”

The book is titled “Explore Kashmiri Pandits” and describes the 5000-year old cultural heritage of Kashmiri Pandit community, a specimen of the purest Aryan race in the world today. In terms of population, the Pandit community of Kashmir, India forms less than five-hundredths of one percent of the population of India, yet it has given India two prime ministers, two cabinet ministers, one chief-justice of India, two general secretaries of parliament, one chief election commissioner, four generals and hundreds of scholars in various fields of art and science.
