Innovating language learning: Stop memorizing, start playing - “My goal is to make the Chinese language more approachable to non-native speakers. A Chinese character can have complicated strokes, but with Chineasy, our visual design allows you to associate the meaning of the word with the image,” says ShaoLan. Memorizing a language by rote has always been the traditional approach. Won’t you rather play games or other fun activities to learn it? Chineasy challenges traditional ways of learning a new language by integrating the element of games into a learner’s journey. There are more than ten ways to play with Chineasy Tiles, from two players to team-based gameplay.

Chineasy Tiles make learning Chinese easier, for everyone - Chineasy eases learner into the world of Chinese language by introducing 48 essential characters that could be matched and combined into more than 200 phrases. Road-tested by players from 4 to 86 years old, it is versatile for different audiences. Teachers from well-known institutions in the US, London, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China have all road-tested the game and found ways to adapt it to different proficiency levels and curriculums.

ShaoLan, a London-based Taiwanese entrepreneur, began to teach her children Chinese and realized how difficult it is for non-natives. Her publication in 2014: Chineasy - The New Way to Read Chinese have been translated into 19 languages and available in over 30 countries.
