)-- The Santa Monica Playhouse Benefit Series presents “A Bit of Irish,” Chris Sullivan’s always raucous St. Patrick’s Day hooley (party) and celebration of Ireland in songs, poems, limericks and stories, for one night only Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 at 8:00 PM.
Irish actor-singer-raconteur Chris Sullivan, in what has become a much anticipated tradition, returns to Santa Monica Playhouse for the ninth year running with his St. Patrick’s Night inspired celebration of all things Irish. Created and performed by Sullivan, the 2008 edition of the show will bring together some old familiar pieces and some new material culled from the rich tradition of Irish literature and song.
The multi-talented Sullivan has toured his show to Irish fairs and theatre festivals in the U.K. and the U.S.A., including a month-long run at the Edinburgh Festival. Don’t miss your chance to catch his show locally in what has become an annual tradition at Santa Monica Playhouse. “A Bit of Irish” plays Tuesday before St. Patrick’s Day, March 11, 2008 at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $15.00, and all proceeds benefit the Save the Santa Monica Playhouse Campaign. Reservations are necessary. Call the Playhouse Box Office at 1-310-394-9779 ext 1.
