)-- Where’s KT you ask? Maybe a “Gone Fishing’” sign would explain the recent absence of Kevin Townsend and the KT Diaries on TV. But KT isn’t really missing, he’s just away on adventure collecting new and exciting stories. In the meantime his personal assistant, Friday is preparing for the return of his popular fishing and hunting show by moving it from the Pursuit Channel and satellite TV to a bigger and better stage. Friday is preparing the premiere of The KT Diaries in digital form via the Internet, mobile and social media beginning in August. The change will make KT more widely seen and allow daily interaction with his family of viewers, the sportsmen and sportswomen who follow him across North America.
“The way we’re building a community with our audience has never been done before, it’s a real evolution,” says Friday. “To engage our hundreds of thousands of viewers, to add their voices and content is a long overdue value add for our program, its followers and our sponsors. We are reshaping The KT Diaries from appointment TV - to become a daily guide to the best places to discover fish, fur or fowl. We're building daily relevance by collecting contributions and opening interaction with our community of viewers, supported of course by professional advice from experts like KT and his friends.”
Due to his remote location, KT couldn't be reached for comment. So as always, Friday compensates, strategizing, making preparations and executing, while KT is far away making adventure. But how else would one of the world’s foremost guides to the outdoors be successful and groundbreaking – if not with a little help from Friday? Meantime, fans can watch KT’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/TheKTDiaries) for the times and dates of the digital premiere, and a chance to be a part of the experience with a contest and special offers.
