)-- Cayman Chemical is distributing the new InCellis® Smart Cell Imaging System from Bertin Technologies. The InCellis® is the first all-in-one cell imager developed to generate publication-quality images and time-lapse videos of cells on tissue slides or in cell culture. Multichannel fluorescence, phase contrast, and brightfield imaging can be easily performed by all biologists on the bench without the need for long, extensive training. Publishable images are captured in just a few clicks on the user-friendly touch screen and shared via WiFi or network connection directly from the bench. Cell transfection efficiency and cell culture confluency can be determined within one minute using the on-board applications.
The InCellis® combines a sensitive, low light CMOS color sensor, a high-end touch screen with a large field of view and an intuitive interface, and patented illumination technology with your choice of four fluorescent light modules to generate high-resolution images. This is the only cell imaging system able to provide white light monochrome images, colored images, and multichannel fluorescence images that are automatically overlayed in the field of view. Currently, international customers are experiencing the benefits of InCellis® in their day-to-day cell culture applications. Bertin Technologies’ Lab Equipment Brand Manager, Olivier Varet, explains, "After working with InCellis®, our end-users are extremely satisfied with the images produced and that the images often exceed publication standards and quality. Scientists also point out how much time they are saving on their cell culture applications by using InCellis®.”
For more than 10 years, Cayman has been a leading distributor of Bertin Technologies’ Precellys® line of sample preparation homogenizers and consumables, offering sales, service, and demonstrations to US life science researchers. “The Precellys® homogenizers offer our customers a safe and efficient option for sample preparation prior to using our assays and reagents,” Jason Truskowski, Marketing Manager Cayman Chemical Company, said. “With the addition of this instrument to our portfolio, we will be able to better support our customers from sample preparation through to cell imaging.”
The InCellis® Smart Cell Imaging System will dovetail neatly with Cayman’s extensive line of cell-based assays, immunohistochemistry-compatible antibodies, and fluorescent probes.
