QPS Bio-Kinetic Completes $400,000 Renovation Project

QPS Bio-Kinetic, one of the world's largest independent early phase sites in the U.S., recently completed a $400,000 upgrade to one of its five early phase research clinics as part of its strategic plan to bring in more wide-ranging research opportunities.

Springfield, MO, August 02, 2017 --(PR.com)-- “We are proud to be internationally recognized for our site capabilities, and with new and exciting research opportunities on the horizon, we wanted to be prepared for the constantly changing clinical trial landscape,” said Brendon Bourg, Vice President and General Manager of QPS Bio-Kinetic.

Upgrades to the 6,000 square foot clinic include four key elements. First is the new clinic layout, upgraded technology, and seating for the comfort of participants.

“Keeping our dedicated participants comfortable in the high tech world is key to our success, so we are putting an all in approach to keep these great people coming back for future trials,” said Bourg.

Second is an entirely renovated lab complete with updated electronic data capture (EDC) equipment.

“The upgraded laboratory allows our PRN and medical staff the capability to perform functions required of any clinical research protocol assigned to our facility,” said Chyre Bradley, a 17-year veteran and Director of Clinical Operations. “I’m excited for the opportunities the upgrade brings to QPS Bio-Kinetic and for what it means for our experienced staff.”

Third is an exterior private pavilion for research trials that require seclusion, and fourth, 60 fully-functional and flexible phase-one beds for both Innovator, generic, and nutraceutical clinical studies, making the total bed capacity at QPS Bio-Kinetic 240 in all of its five clinics.

In addition to the clinic upgrades is the addition of treadmills, weight machines, and testing equipment unique to exercise and nutritional-specific studies.

“The new equipment and updated facilities will allow additional, more advanced, and a greater diversity of study assignments here in Springfield,” said Michael Peck, Accounting Manager. “The influx of new studies will ultimately lead to more payouts to our participants which in turn will lead to a healthier local economy.”

Over the past 20 years, QPS Bio-Kinetic has paid out nearly $20 million to its participants. The clinical research organziation regularly factors updates and remodeling into its budget to allow for research trends and needs.
