Orlando, FL, February 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- ComBATON is the newest sport in the martial arts arena. Steve Blanton, the founder of the sport, conceived the basic idea in 1990 and patented the game in 1997. He recruited students at local martial arts schools and began the process of developing the game.

All players are martial artists and most are black belts. Several players are Martial Arts Masters. ComBATON is a kicking sport characterized by 360 degree kicks, flying sidekicks, and jumping front kicks. The game is as exciting to watch as it is to play. Players may be trained in kung fu, karate, taekwondo, MMA or other kicking martial art. Excellent cardiovascular conditioning is essential due to the extended playing times.

A popular sports website recently featured comBATON and sent a flurry of visitors to its website. ComBATON is mentioned in the March 2008 issue of Black Belt Magazine and was featured at the Disney Martial Arts Festival twice. A 30 second video is featured at www.comBATON.com.
