San Diego, CA, August 16, 2017 --(PR.com
)-- Alfa Scientific Designs, Inc. (ALFA), a U.S. manufacturer of rapid health tests for at-home use, will be exhibiting at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores’ Total Show Expo (TSE), August 19-22, 2017, at the San Diego Convention Center. For more than a decade, ALFA has sold Over-the-Counter (OTC) products for women’s fertility, drug testing, and the important health test known as an immunochemical fecal occult blood (iFOB) test.
iFOB testing is recommended by the National Roundtable for Colorectal Cancer and the American Cancer Society for reducing the rates of Colorectal Cancer (CRC), the 3rd most common cancer diagnosed in the US and 2nd leading cause of cancer death. CRC testing is performed for age groups starting at 50 years of age, but statistics published in 2017 report an alarming increase in death rates for people younger than 50 years of age, (13% during 2000-2014). Early diagnosis of CRC yields a 90% cure rate, and iFOB tests lead to early diagnosis. ALFA will have 2 iFOB tests on display at TSE.
In addition to the Instant-view® OTC product lines on display, product demonstrations that feature ALFA’s revolutionary Driven Flow™ Technology will be scheduled. All interested attendees are invited to visit ALFA at booth #644.
"ALFA is excited to be attending TSE for our second year,” said Tim Knowles, Vice President U.S. Sales. “TSE provides us great opportunities to make new, successful partnerships to advance our cutting-edge Driven Flow™ Technology products into the retail market.”
The NACDS Total Store Expo is the industry’s largest gathering of its most influential leaders. It is a combination of both strategic and tactical business meetings between existing and new trading partners and is attended by industry decision makers.
