Dr. Anna Goc of San Jose, California, is recognized by the International Assoc. of Who’s Who for exemplary achievements in the field of Research.

New York, NY, August 25, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Over the course of her career, Dr. Anna Goc has been driven by one thing - to help those who are ill regain their health. As the Senior Researcher at the Dr. Rath Research Institute in Santa Clara, California, Dr. Goc does just that in the microbiology laboratory. There, she conducts and oversees multidisciplinary research to help develop safe and effective treatments for those suffering from bacterial and fungal infections.

Specifically, Dr. Goc’s areas of expertise range from microbiology, to immunology, to vascular biology, and oncology. Much of her work has been published across highly-circulated science journals and awarded prestigious awards, both across the nation and internationally. Currently, she serves as the lead investigator on a Lyme disease research initiative.

Dr. Goc dedicated much of her academic career to pursuing her passion for science, receiving her Master’s in molecular biology as well as a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. From there she went on to complete her postdoctoral training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Dr. Goc has also served as a Research Biologist for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.

Her exemplary work has been recognized by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), who, in 2015, inducted Dr. Goc into the VIP Women of the Year Circle. The NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating local chapters. She is also a member of the Continental Who’s Who.

When she’s not in the office, Dr. Goc maintains her commitment to the field of medical research, volunteering to raise awareness of Lyme disease and serving as a member of the American Society of Microbiology, the American Chemical Society, the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the American Heart Association.
