Atlanta, GA, February 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Visix, Inc. has released version 7.0 of the company’s premier visual communications software application, AxisTV. Download of the upgraded software is available on the company’s web site for existing users and is free of charge to current Software Maintenance and Support Agreement (SMA) clients. New Content Server and Channel Player orders received at Visix after February 15, 2008 will ship with v.7.0 images to minimize deployment configuration requirements and field upgrades.

Version 7.0 includes an enhanced interface, a number of new features and bug fixes designed to improve the user experience and application performance. The revised interface includes an improved design scheme with updated page layouts, menus, colors and fonts and user support information libraries. It is the first interface revision since the release of AxisTV v.6.1.1 in June 2006. This release includes a range of features adding the ability to specify message and play list importance, route content to players via multiple publishers (N-tier publishing), mode management, native desktop configuration utilities and message purging.

AxisTV mode management is most applicable to large-scale deployments and provides the ability to activate a play mode on multiple players at once. Installations that take advantage of player groups can activate modes for a new built-in group “All Players.” Another cornerstone improvement to AxisTV is the ability to automatically purge “old” messages specified by age.

“The revised interface furthers AxisTV’s already established reputation as a very user-friendly application. The improvements are based on user feedback and expert recommendations, so as to provide the most intuitive, responsive and visually pleasing user experience,” says Sean Matthews, President of Visix. “The new features are a direct response to our client’s need to expand publishing capabilities and for more control over the hierarchy of their visual communications.”

Additional feature enhancements and additions include a stock library of display layouts, RSS filter improvements, expanded error reporting and enhanced proxy server support.
