A Really "Bad Excuse" for a New T-Shirt Company

Bad Excuses Tees.com, a new online t-shirt retailer, is banking on every bad excuse you have ever heard (and some you have not) to make them profitable. Rather than offering up rude or obscene t-shirts, Bad Excuses Tees offers up all of those old excuses you may have used in the past and puts them on a t-shirt.

Eden Prairie, MN, February 20, 2008 --(PR.com)-- A new retail company has a bad excuse for inspiration for their new t-shirt line.

“I could have been a lawyer… but I like to tell the truth is one of my personal favorites,” said Mike Mancini, founder of Bad Excuses Tees.com. “We offer people a t-shirt that makes fun of not only other people’s bad excuses, but of their own as well. The t-shirts are not malicious and obscene like a number of others; they are more honesty than anything. I’d be lying if I said that I’ve never used some of the excuses on the shirts myself.”

BadExcusesTees.com is spin-off of the company’s first website DesignerTeez.com. Designer Teez started out as a part time business about 4 years ago under a different name. Since November of 2007 they have been running full time and did almost $18,000 of revenue in the final month of last year. “It’s always a good problem when a young company is that busy,” Mancini states.

Some of the hotter products have been the Presidential t-shirts. “I could have been President…but I’ll just let Barack do it, has been a pretty good seller so far. You can get that shirt or substitute Hillary or McCain as well but Barack has been the biggest seller of the three. Obviously political t-shirts will continue to do well throughout most of 2008,” says Mancini.

The site allows users to vote on their favorite t-shirts and there are a variety of different colors available for each design. While Presidential tees may fare well with the public, there are a number of others that spark some votes. “I could be a rockstar… but I just don’t like groupies,” and “I could have been rich… but I just don’t like financial responsibility,” seem to be popular as well.

With over 25 t-shirts available and more than 40 other ideas being implemented, Bad Excuses Tees.com should not be able to come up with a bad excuse for not being successful.
