PureLink Offers Crestron Control for AV Over IP Systems

Company's VIP Integrates with Various 3rd Party Control Platforms via Free Software.

Ramsey, NJ, October 01, 2017 --(PR.com)-- PureLink, a provider of comprehensive connectivity solutions to commercial and residential audio/video and IT markets worldwide, announced today the availability of free control system drivers, including an internally developed Crestron module for use with their AV over IP systems. With the utilization of this complementary software their VIP-200 and VIP-300 solutions can be integrated with a variety of third party control platforms via IR or LAN. With the Crestron module, for example, users have the ability to set video wall array size and position, check transmitter and receiver on/off status and channel, as well as send serial commands to transmitters and receivers for display and device control.

PureLink's VIP series delivers an ideal solution for a variety of IP Video applications. The product was designed to provide the addition of video, audio, rs232, infrared, USB extension and matrix switching to local and wide-area network systems. PureLink's VIP-300H-U offers the only IP video solution that can transport 4K signals across both CAT and Fiber networks. Together with the VIP-NET purpose-designed network switches and intuitive VPX IP Video Management software, the VIP combines powerful connectivity, simplified integration, and an optimal feature set. This hardware and software combination, adds virtual matrix switching and signal control capabilities to IP network management.

“Utilizing third party control brings VIP integration with the most commonly used pro A/V platforms to the marketplace,” stated Keith Frey, PureLink's Sr. Product Manager. “With the proliferation of AV over IP systems within the broadcast, banking, government and retail verticals, we've answered the call from our customers to be as flexible as possible with the emulation platforms we offer,” he added. “Crestron control is something we’ve had requested before, but the full gambit of IR modules now available cover industry stalwarts like Kramer, Clare Controls, RTI, Elan, Ray and many more,” stated Frey. “Bringing the time and cost saving benefits of these configurations to our partners is a win-win for all,” concluded Mr. Frey.
