Modern Landscaping Wins Top Honor in Award Competition

Campbell, CA, March 01, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Modern Landscaping of Campbell, Calif., has been awarded the 2005 Sweepstakes Trophy Award from the California Landscape Contractors Association for a project completed in Los Altos Hills. The Sweepstakes Award honors the best overall entry in CLCA’s annual statewide competition. The work, which included a Japanese garden with pool, koi pond and other water features was designed by landscape architect Donald D. Boos of Murphy’s, CA. Modern won an additional 1st prize in the category of landscape renovation for another Los Altos Hills residence. The design for this residence was a collaborative effort done in house by company founder Klaus Hertzer and interior designer Robert Murphy. The Trophy Awards bestow professional recognition on the state’s most outstanding landscaping projects, and the goal of the awards is to encourage interest in landscaping, to recognize landscapers who create outstanding projects and to create public recognition for companies, institutions, municipalities and residents that support a beautiful California. The 2005 Trophy Awards ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in conjunction with the Landscape Industry Show/CLCA Annual Convention.
