Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame Town Hall Meeting

On Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 6-8:00pm, the media, politicians and the public are invited to attend an R&B Hall of Fame Town Hall Meeting at Bert’s Warehouse Theater, 2727 Russell Street, Detroit, MI 48207, in the heart of the Historic Eastern Market District.

Detroit, MI, October 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- This Town Hall Meeting will allow the citizens of Detroit to peek behind a musical curtain, to see and hear some of the performers and producers of the music tell how being inducted into the Hall of Fame has enhanced their careers. There will be an opportunity to ask questions about the benefits of having the museum in Detroit, job and educational opportunities and how they can get involved. Since its beginning in 2010, more than 150 singers, songwriters, and producers have been inducted into the R&B Hall of Fame. Historically, Detroit has successfully been the incubator for many genres of music, building the museum here would preserve so many legacies. There have been many groups and performers including: The Spinners, Ortheia Barnes and JJ Barnes, The Dramatics, The Contours, Pat Lewis of Isaac Hayes’ Hot Buttered Soul, Enchantment, Martha Reeves, The Original Vandellas and producer Michael J. Powell (to name a few) who have continued to live in the Metro Detroit area. They are proud to acknowledge their contributions to the world of music by inducting them into the Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame - and they are not finished.
