)-- In support of the 6th annual Fodada International Women's Self Defense Day, Samurai Karate Studio will be participating by offering a free self defense workshop on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.
"We are really looking forward to a great workshop," commented Sensei Feldt, owner and chief instructor for Samurai Karate Studio. "This is a great event that women love!"
The workshop will be held at Samurai Karate Studio, located at 4561 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC, 29229. The workshop will include topics such as reasons why women get assaulted, non-verbal pre-attack indicators, attack points, how to defend against wrist grabs, chokes and bear hugs.
"I love teaching self defense to women," stated Sensei Feldt. "It is really great to see women feel empowered and leave my dojo feeling more confident and ready to take on the world!"
The workshop is open to the general public, females ages 13 and above.
You don't need to have any prior martial arts experience to attend this workshop.
Samurai Karate Studio has been open since 2007 and has taught hundreds of children and adults, beginning at age 4 and up. Their school specializes in character and leadership development as well as life skills training.
