Blue-J Partners with NC Everybody Works Campaign

Concord, NC, October 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Blue-J​ ​Eco-Friendly​ ​Small​ ​Office​ ​cleaning​ ​is​ ​proud​ ​to​ ​announce​ ​it’s​ ​participation​ ​in​ ​the "Everybody​ ​Works​ ​NC" ​campaign.​ ​This​ ​campaign​ ​was​ ​organized​ ​by​ ​the​ ​North​ ​Carolina council​ ​on​ ​developmental​ ​disabilities​ ​with​ ​the​ ​purpose​ ​of​ ​connecting​ ​businesses​ ​to disabled​ ​individuals​ ​seeking​ ​work.​ ​This​ ​campaign​ ​addresses​ ​the​ ​facts​ ​that​ ​forty​ ​percent of​ ​NC​ ​businesses​ ​are​ ​currently​ ​seeking​ ​talent​ ​to​ ​meet​ ​their​ ​workforce​ ​needs​ ​and​ ​that there​ ​are​ ​over​ ​four​ ​thousand​ ​qualified​ ​candidates​ ​who​ ​suffer​ ​from​ ​disabilities​ ​who​ ​are seeking​ ​work.

A​ ​major​ ​goal​ ​of​ ​Blue-J​ ​is​ ​to​ ​help​ ​people​ ​with​ ​disabilities​ ​achieve​ ​their​ ​potential.​ ​Blue-J achieves​ ​this​ ​by​ ​predominantly​ ​hiring​ ​individuals​ ​on​ ​the​ ​Autistic​ ​spectrum.​ ​ As​ ​to​ ​the potential​ ​of​ ​these​ ​employees,​ ​the​ ​owner​ ​of​ ​the​ ​company​ ​states​ ​“We​ ​tap​ ​into​ ​that potential,​ ​but​ ​they​ ​do​ ​it​ ​themselves​ ​and​ ​we​ ​bring​ ​it​ ​out.” ​Blue-J’s​ ​participation​ ​in​ ​the everybody​ ​works​ ​campaign​ ​is​ ​related​ ​to​ ​this​ ​goal​ ​because​ ​in​ ​participating​ ​in​ ​the campaign,​ ​Blue-J​ ​is​ ​assisting​ ​other​ ​businesses​ ​in​ ​adopting​ ​this​ ​goal.

Another​ ​goal​ ​of​ ​Blue-J​ ​which​ ​is​ ​consistent​ ​with​ ​the​ ​everybody​ ​works​ ​campaign​ ​is​ ​the company's​ ​goal​ ​of​ ​educating​ ​the​ ​public​ ​about​ ​Autism​ ​spectrum​ ​disorders​ ​as​ ​a​ ​central goal​ ​of​ ​the​ ​everybody​ ​works​ ​campaign​ ​is​ ​to​ ​educate​ ​self-advocates.​ ​Blue-J​ ​extensively teaches​ ​its​ ​employees​ ​how​ ​to​ ​advocate​ ​for​ ​themselves​ ​in​ ​addition​ ​to​ ​participating​ ​in conferences​ ​where​ ​representatives​ ​of​ ​the​ ​company​ ​educate​ ​the​ ​participants​ ​about​ ​the business​ ​model.
