Managed IT and Security Provider GeekTek Selects Cyberverse to Expand Its West Coast Data Center Locations

GeekTek announces its entry into the Southwest through the extension of a regional colocation partnership with adaptive data center administrator Cyberverse into Phoenix, AZ.

Phoenix, AZ, November 04, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Los Angeles-based Managed IT/Cybersecurity firm GeekTek will soon expand its footprint into Phoenix, AZ through its recent selection of Cyberverse as its regional colocation partner. Building on its established relationship with Cyberverse, GeekTek signed a multiyear contract that augments the current colocation agreement between the firms for Los Angeles with new visibility and capability in the Southwest.

“We are excited that GeekTek has once again chosen our facilities as they continue their national expansion,” states Cyberverse Director of Business Development Matt Schryver. “Our 550,000-square-foot adaptive data center was constructed to accommodate the ambitions and scaling mandates required by businesses like GeekTek. We are honored that they chose us once again to expand their operation.”

To that, GeekTek President/CEO Eric Schlissel concurs, “It makes sense for GeekTek to once again partner with Cyberverse, and to enable direct connectivity between these locations. This provides our clients with both additional redundancy and fewer hops within our infrastructure. We not only needed another location for our private cloud and disaster recovery services, but an efficient and economic means of scaling it. Cyberverse has ably served us in this endeavor in Los Angeles; we look forward to extending our relationship further in Phoenix.”

Cyberverse’s data center infrastructure efficiently handles both its clients’ standard and dynamic workloads with flexible rack densities of up to 50 kW, or 1000 watts per square foot, enabling customers to deploy computational applications without latency or disruption.

By selecting Cyberverse, GeekTek also meets the mandates of its environmental program through Cyberverse’s intelligent infrastructure solutions. Cyberverse has engineered its systems to continuously improve economic and environmental performance, guaranteeing a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.15. This results in Cyberverse’s clients using up to 85 percent less water and up to 80 percent less power than workloads deployed in traditional facilities, reducing the environmental impact of their facilities and resulting in a lower total cost of ownership.
