)-- Cleinman Performance Partners held its first National Eyecare Facilities Conference recently at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare in Chicago. “Building the WOW!” was the first such conference focused on the subject. The two-day conference was designed to help answer the many questions that arise from private practitioners that are embarking on a remodel or a new build of their facility. During the weekend, attendees enjoyed presentations by ten leading experts from both within and outside of the eyecare industry; including planners, contractors, architects and designers. A range of topics were covered from site selection, project planning, financing, marketing to contractor relations and interior/exterior design. Nearly 50 participants from across the country enjoyed this informative and interactive weekend and left with a comprehensive planning guide “Building the Wow” developed by Cleinman Performance Partners in conjunction with leading experts and practitioners who have completed significant building projects.
“This weekend was a really fantastic use of time, especially since we have bought land and need to figure out how to build the dream,” stated Dr. Michael Neal of Lakeside Vision from Pennsylvania. As Dr. Steve Berry of Albuquerque Vision Care from New Mexico put it, “This was the best meeting I have been to with regard to having valuable discussions with vendors and speakers. The intimacy of the format made speakers more accessible.”
Alan Cleinman, CEO of Cleinman Performance Partners stated, “Building a facility is likely the largest single capital outlay of a practice. Heretofore, there has not been a consolidated resource to assist in this complex undertaking.”
The success of this first National Eyecare Facilities Conference has prompted the firm to plan for the next conference, to be held in St. Louis in 2018.
