Lunch Launches Lunch 2.0 with All-Female Leadership Team

Seasoned & diverse experts from film, TV, marketing, arts and advertising join together to lead creative services at Lunch.

Toronto, Canada, November 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Lunch was founded in 2009 by award-winning Executive Producer Amy Miranda as a creative services company delivering advertising, marketing & content production. Lunch provides strategy to execution across all mediums. After spending years in managerial positions working in broadcast, technology & advertising, Amy had the realization there was another way to do it. Making things should be as easy as ordering lunch, whether a full campaign or just lending an extra hand. Lunch has produced work for brands including Red Bull, Clorox of Canada, Brita, Paramount, Pee-wee Herman & Nickelodeon, as well as countless agencies.

After 8 years, Lunch is proud to announce the addition of all female leadership. Demonstrating their commitment to diversity and female representation in the creative business, Lunch’s new leadership includes expertise in film, TV, integrated, branded, strategic, & creative production. From narrative to factual, from traditional to non-traditional, the collective is being led by experts in all areas.

Meet Lunch:

Amy Miranda, Founder & Executive Producer
Amy is an internationally awarded Executive Producer. She began her career at CNN.com. She moved on to positions with Alliance Atlantis/U8TV. She landed in advertising at HendersonBas & moved to TAXI as Director of Interactive Production & Director of Integrated Production at Grip. In 2009 she founded Lunch, where she has led hundreds of projects, from global campaigns to series. Amy is on the board of ArtsCan Circle, a non-profit which encourages self-esteem of youth in northern Indigenous communities through the arts.

Chanda Chevannes, Lead Factual
Chanda is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, writer & educator. Chanda’s most recent film, UNFRACTURED had its Premiere as opening night film at the PlF Film Festival & took the award for Best Canadian Feature. Prior, Chanda directed 4 creative documentaries that have screened around the world. Chanda has been honoured with a Gracie Award from the Alliance for Women in Media; & was a recipient of the prestigious Chalmers Arts Fellowship.

Natalie Urquhart, Lead Narrative
Natalie has her BFA from USC & is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory. Natalie’s most recent work was on the series, Suits, for NBCUniversal. On Suits for six seasons & was an associate producer during her last season. She has produced 2 short films, Throwing Cotton, funded by the NSI Drama Prize, & We Are Here, shot in Haida Gwaii, BC. Natalie is a resident at the CFC producer's lab, where she has both a feature film & a television series in development.

Jen Mete, Lead Integrated & Experiential
Jen is an Executive Producer with extensive experience in creating & producing content for marketing and advertising. Jen produced the launch of the award-winning Budweiser Red Light campaign. Jen has held production management positions with TBWA, Leo Burnett, TAXI, Saatchi & Saatchi, NFB, Sid Lee, Anomaly & Camp Jefferson

Elaine Li, Lead Strategy & Media
Elaine is the founder of Stripe & Crane. Elaine specializes in helping brands overhaul their digital marketing practices. For 2 years, Elaine led digital marketing for all brands in the Clorox Canada portfolio. Prior to heading up digital marketing, Elaine worked on Burt’s Bees and GUD. Elaine previously held brand marketing positions at Philips and Reebok. Elaine holds degrees in Economics and Marketing from York.

Sasha Pierce, Lead Fine Art
Sasha received an MFA from the University of Waterloo in 2004 & BA from University of Guelph in 1997. Sasha was the recipient of the Ontario Arts Council’s Laura Ciruls Painting Award in 2015 and honourable mention in the Eleventh Annual RBC Canadian Painting Competition in 2009. Sasha is represented by Richard Heller Gallery, LA.

Irene Angelopoulos, Lead Illustration & Animation
Irene and her partner have been making a wide range of art together as Catshrine since 2013. Catshrine’s animation & dance-inspired installation, Pop N’ Lock Dance Machine, has exhibited in San Antonio, Texas (The DoSeum); Brooklyn, New York (Brooklyn Academy of Music); Halifax, UK (Eureka! Children’s Museum) & travels to New Zealand in 2018.

Gloria Ui Young Kim
Gloria has a degree in English Lit from the University of Toronto & is an alumni of the CFC's Director’s Lab & TIFF Talent Lab. Gloria is currently making her first feature, Debra and Mona. Gloria was chosen by Women in View as one of the 2017 Five in Focus & is also directing a feature documentary about medical marijuana for Titlecard Pictures.

Avery Plewes
Avery began her career working with Betsey Johnson in New York & Toronto prior to moving into her film career. Avery spent 2 seasons working on NBC Universal's Suits, has also worked on productions such as Hannibal, Resident Evil, & XXX. Avery made her debut as costume designer on Jean of the Joneses. She has since completed Everything, Everything & JT Leroy. She was recently featured as a Role Model in Teen Vogue.
