MeteorComm Participating at the IWCE

Kent, WA, February 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- MeteorComm, the company that commercialized meteor burst communications in the 1970’s will be participating again at the International Wireless Communication Expo in Las Vegas, February 26-29. Last year MeteorComm introduced the MCC-6100 SDR. This year, MeteorComm will present three services and products to the participants.

MeteorComm’s CONUS network is for customers who need remote environmental monitoring of riverbeds, water surface collection, temperature, wind or other weather related data information in areas that only have satellite coverage. MeteorComm provides a higher speed, more reliable two-way communication system than satellite.

MeteorComm’s Extended-Line-of-Sight (ELOS) can also be used for remote environmental monitoring that requires near-real time updates at an overall lower cost than most other systems. MeteorComm’s ELOS system is ideal for private, state or government groups that need licensed spectrum and do not want to pay the monthly fee that other wireless networks charge.

MeteorComm’s MBNet™ uses MCC-545C and the MCC-6100 SDR radio to provided a peer-to-peer mesh network protocol suite that delivers reliable end-to-end data packet delivery for mobile applications such as mission critical fleet tracking, messaging and status reporting. When safety matters, MeteorComm provides a safety overlay wireless communication network that has been approved by the FRA and is used by a Class 1 railroad.

In business for over 32 years, MeteorComm is a leader in the design and manufacture of reliable wireless data and voice communication solutions. MeteorComm serves customers who require real-time situational awareness by remotely monitoring, coordinating and tracking resources.
