Fecteau Files Formal Paperwork for District 8 State Senate

Pawtucket, RI, December 14, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Mr. Matt Fecteau, veteran and Pawtucket resident, filed his formal paperwork to create his campaign to seek the District 8 State Senate seat currently held by James Doyle. Fecteau previously ran for the same office in 2016, coming within 67 votes of defeating the incumbent.

“I’m running again because Pawtucket still doesn’t have the representation we deserve in the General Assembly,” said Fecteau. “Our incumbent State Senator won’t even show up for work, much less fight for his constituents. The PawSox stadium deal will affect Pawtucket for decades. We need someone who will make sure that, whatever the final deal is, it works for regular Pawtucket citizens, not just millionaire team owners. Yet Jaime Doyle skipped every committee hearing about the PawSox.”

Fecteau looks forward to the campaign, especially the opportunity to learn about people’s concerns and how their government can help them more effectively. In 2016, Fecteau’s military obligations kept him overseas for much of the campaign. This time, he plans to canvas the entire district and hopes to speak to every voter at least once. A formal campaign kickoff is planned for early 2018.

Mr. Fecteau is a current graduate student, and an Army Reservist with the 151st Theater Information Operations group. For any questions, please call 401-225-0541 or email him at Matthew.Fecteau@gmail.com.
