)-- Harmony Hills Addiction Treatment Ranch opened their doors this month to the private sector in Central Florida. This new addiction treatment facility is located in Altoona, Florida on a serene 67-acre ranch adjoining the Ocala National Forest. Harmony Hills provides a continuum of evidence-based care in their 48-bed residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient therapy programs, for adults 18 years and older. They also provide medication-assisted treatment, psychiatric and medical care, and an array of ancillary whole health and wellness services that addresses the brain, mind, body and spirit.
Harmony Hills is opening during a national health crisis and opioid epidemic, which they aim to tackle. Florida has recently seen aggressive scrutiny in the addiction treatment industry, resulting in the strictest regulations seen in decades. Because of this, the Harmony Hills team holds themselves to very high ethics, business and clinical standards. They are modeled on their founding partner, Chrysalis Health, a leading Florida behavioral health provider with a twenty-five year history of clinical excellence, compassion and integrity.
“Many behavioral health providers are struggling in this industry due to heavy scrutiny from insurance companies as well as state government regulations. Because of our combined experience, we feel completely prepared to face the current addiction crisis and are confident we will be successful, despite the many hurdles we are facing,” said Elizabeth Potts, Chief Administrative Officer at Harmony Hills. “We also look forward to partnering with others in the industry with a similar vision so that we can support each other in this endeavor.”
Harmony Hills utilizes several types of therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Traumatic Incident Reduction Therapy (TIR). Patients participate in individual and group therapy, psychoeducational groups, and holistic and recreational services. Individualized treatment is patient driven and matched to each patient’s condition, symptoms, goals, strengths and needs.
