The Traveling Over-the-Counter Medicine Band Releases 7th Studio Album, Stealing From Thieves

Granite Bay, CA, December 21, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Traveling Over-the-Counter Medicine Band (The TOTCM Band) released their 7th studio album in December 2017. The album, Stealing From Thieves is a collection of songs under the genre Jam Bands and features the songs, “Bad Accounting,” “Nice, But” and “Nobody Likes the Singer in Our Band.” This album is a follow up to their 2016 release, The Unbearable Lightness of Frank.

The TOTCM Band is a blend of world, reggae, rock and ambient fusion music creating a multi-layered blend of sounds. “We try to create a physical texture to our music,” says creator James Gillespy, “We want our listeners to feel our music as a tapestry.” Citing influences of Tool, The Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, and moe., Gillespy adds, “We try and take influences we enjoy listening to and create our own sound. This is not music that is designed for a commercial market. We understand that our market is going to be more a eclectic group of listeners who are looking to get past main-stream sounds. We like to think that listening to our music starts at the second half of the bottle because that is usually where we start recording.”

The TOTCM Band is based in Northern California. The album is published through Distrokid and available through YouTube, iTunes and Spotify as well as a multitude of other favorite distribution sites.
