Audubon Nature Institute Selects IDS Menus for Digital Menu Board Installation

Holbrook, NY, February 28, 2008 --(PR.com)-- IDS Menus™, a leading supplier of Digital menu boards, today announced the successful installation of its digital menu board system at the Audubon Zoo, located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Audubon Zoo is part of the Audubon Nature Institute, which is comprised of a family of museums and parks dedicated to nature. The Institute has existed since 1914. Its core mission is to provide a guest experience of outstanding quality, to exhibit the diversity of wildlife, and to preserve native Louisiana habitats. Eleven different facilities are run by the Institute including the Audubon Park and Audubon Zoo.

Four 46-inch LCD screens were installed on wall mounts in the food court area. Two of the screens are dedicated to promoting menu selections in the Zoofari Café, while the other two screens display animal videos and facts, educating visitors. Alternating with the animal videos are animated promotions of snack items, enticing visitors to purchase food items at the cafe.

Terry Kenney, Director of Graphics, explains why Audubon chose IDS Menus to complete their digital menu board system and why they upgraded from static menu boards to a digital menu board system. “Audubon Nature Institute has been extremely pleased with IDS Menus. We chose IDS when we wanted a top-of-the-line look for our new Zoofari Café. The decision to upgrade from a traditional menu system to a digital one was easy, due to the graphic flexibility and the ability to change menu items and prices instantly. The digital content IDS Menus created was first-class and their superior customer service ensured our digital menu board solution was produced in time for our grand opening. Audubon Nature Institute looks forward to using IDS digital signage in future projects.”

Jeff Axel, Director of Digital Signage Sales at IDS, speaks about Audubon’s project further. “IDS Menus was very excited to work with Audubon Nature Institute on their recent digital menu board project. The digital menu boards will help Audubon accomplish their goals to change menu items and pricing frequently, as well as factual animal information. It was a pleasure working with Audubon’s team on their recent project. IDS looks forward to building a long-term relationship with Audubon Nature Institute.”
