Virtual Technologies Group Renews Focus on B2B Business

Virtual Technologies Group to restructure its Lima branch - Focus solely on B2B as they close their retail arm.

Lima, OH, January 11, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Virtual Technologies Group (VTG) is excited to announce it is corporately restructuring its Lima branch to focus and expand their attention solely on the business to business (B2B) market. VTG will shift all of its focus to providing its wide range of IT services to local businesses in Lima, Maumee and the surrounding Northwest Ohio region. As a result of the change, they will close their retail arm of the company, including personal computer repairs and sales. The change to their Lima branch unites them with their other location in Maumee, operating both under the same B2B business strategy.

This marks a new chapter in the long history of VTG, as well as somewhat of a return to their roots. Starting in 1962, the company had its beginnings in the B2B market as C.A.R.D.S. Inc. serving local schools and businesses. Over the years office supply and equipment sales were added to the mix, along with a name change, operating as Office World. Gradually, personal computer sales and repairs would be included in Office World’s service offerings. After several more acquisitions, location changes and expansions, including the addition of a US Post Office to its Lima location, Virtual Technologies Group was born, where it’s remained to this day.

“We’re incredibly excited at the opportunities that lie ahead,” Chuck Greeley, company President and CEO, says. “We couldn’t be prouder to have served this area for all these years. We want to deeply thank all our retail customers for their incredible support over the past 25 years. Now we look forward, with renewed focus, to further strengthen our offerings to businesses right here in Lima and take ourselves, as well as our clients, to all new heights.”

Beginning January 12th, VTG will no longer accept personal computers for repairs. Effective January 31st, it’s showroom will then subsequently be closed. Warranties on products purchased in 2017, however, will still be honored. In October of last year, VTG closed its Lima Post Office desk, though it continues to receive small-sized drop-offs in the mail drop box located outside the front of the building. Operations in the Maumee location will go unchanged and continue as usual.
