Downtown Clearwater’s Epiphany Celebration Brings New Visitors to Scientology Information Center

On January 6th, a celebration was held in honor of the Day of the Epiphany in Downtown Clearwater. Hosted by the Puerto Rican restaurant La Fondita de Leo, the event brought several thousand members of the Puerto Rican community to downtown to enjoy food, music and good company. People covered the street, mingled on the sidewalks and dozens of curious visitors stepped into the Scientology Information Center for the first time.

Clearwater, FL, January 13, 2018 --(PR.com)-- “I didn’t know Scientology was about the mind, spirit and life. Fascinating!” said one woman who brought her whole family into the center to watch the informational videos.

“I wasn’t aware that the Church of Scientology was involved with the disaster relief in Puerto Rico. I’ll look them up when I arrive to Puerto Rico. Thank you for the information,” said another visitor who gave his first name as Cisco.

Cisco, had explained his family’s struggle in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria to Amber Skjelset, the Scientology Information Center Manager. Amber provided him with information on what the Scientology Volunteer Ministers are doing in Bayamón, Puerto Rico to assist families with food, water and other resources since Hurricane Maria took its toll.

The Scientology Information Center has over 400 videos in several audio-visual displays, each in multiple languages, making for a comprehensive self-guided tour that allows one to come to their own personal understanding of what Scientology is, as an all-denominational religion.

Skjelset said, “The festivities were right outside the front door the spirit of the celebration was wonderful. It was an honor to share the day – the Epiphany – with the community.”
