Redi-Tilt Ensures City Fountain Center’s On-Time Completion

City Fountain Center completion schedule on target.

Port St. Lucie, FL, March 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- City Fountain Center, the 23,500 retail center anchored by Seacoast National Bank at the southwest corner of Port St. Lucie Blvd. and Westmorland, is on schedule and attracting tenants, according to Jason Poma, Vice President of Poma Construction, the center’s contractor.

Originally slated to have the shell construction completed in March, the contractor will meet that deadline, and Poma credits the use of their patented precast wall system known as Redi-Tilt for the successful outcome.

“Because we wanted this to be a premier upscale project, we took our time in finalizing just the right quality look when it came to landscaping, colors, design details, etc., so we needed to play catch-up almost from the outset,” Poma said. “However, the Redi-Tilt precast system allows for these types of decisions and dramatically shortens the shell construction’s duration.”

Redi-Tilt’s patented precast concrete and steel wall system offers developers and contractors an economical, strong, and lightweight panel system for wall heights to 30 feet, and the panels install in a fraction of the time as conventional tilt-up construction or block. Redi-Tilt meets or exceeds building codes nationwide including Miami-Dade County.

After a year-long phase of successful research and development, Redi-Tilt began manufacturing operations in 2000 and received its patent in 2006. Redi-Tilt has been incorporated into the design and construction of over 25 major commercial, institutional, and retail projects in Florida and North Carolina.

The Redi-Tilt panels are precast offsite and trucked to the job site. The cost of system is such that the panels can be shipped within a 150-mi. radius and still save time and money over tilt-up or concrete block construction.

While primarily used for commercial construction, Redi-Tilt also has applications in residential construction as well. Redi-Tilt panels serve as the walls and roof of a 1,250 SF residence in Stuart, FL. The home is energy efficient and can withstand winds of over 200 MPH.
