Leeds is the First to be Entertained by 2b Acting’s Projectorgrams

The Royal Park pub in Leeds will be the first to show projectorgrams – interactive video projections - A new form of venue entertainment.

Leeds, United Kingdom, March 03, 2018 --(PR.com)-- 2018 has been named the UK Year of Engineering. This initiative is a timely opportunity for technology companies, such as 2b Acting to do something bold to raise the profile of the profession.

Seizing this moment to convince creative young people that engineering is not just about oiling the wheels of corporate industry, projectorgrams show the fun side of employing imaginative ideas.

Projectorgrams, according to 2b Acting, are the forerunner to the use of holograms for live entertainment. Projected videos are controlled via an online App and the two have been weaved into a routine for live audiences. The Royal Park in Leeds is the first to host a projectorgram Comedy Monologue night on the 20 April.

“Our mission as a company is to utilise technology to open new markets. As a Chartered Engineer it’s great to see how something like interactive videos can deliver this objective. Already, this project has provided a new type of work for actors and if successful may lead to the emergence of a projectorgram video market,” says David Jones, 2b Acting’s project coordinator.

Introducing this technology in a bar in Leeds perhaps communicates more effectively that high-tech engineering solutions don’t have to only exist in slick city centers.

For aspiring engineers, seeing how something as simple as projectorgrams can have an impact is a great way to challenge the stereotypes and improve the public understanding of the role engineering plays in creating new economies.
