Floodplain Manager Sets the Record Straight on Flood Vents at Virginia Water Conference

Richmond, VA, March 23, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Chris Qualtieri, Certified Floodplain Manager at Crawl Space Door Systems (CSDS), challenged a workshop facilitator on flood vent facts presented at the Virginia Water Conference on March 4-6, 2018 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Richmond, VA.

The Virginia Water Conference was hosted by the Virginia Lakes and Watersheds Association (VLWA). The mission of the VLMA is to promote and educate the public on good lake and watershed management, encourage sustainable storm water management practices and protect the welfare of lakes and other water resource within the Commonwealth. “This conference is a great resource of quality information that we can use to enhance our products and give our customers better flood vent solutions,” Chris said. “When some inaccurate information was shared in a workshop, I felt compelled to correct the facilitator on FEMA requirements for wet-flood proofing so that fellow attendees can receive the right information to make the right decision for their flood vent solutions,” Chris added.
