Edward Jorgensen stated, “The art of hand crafted furniture is becoming a dying art. Fine veneers and inlays and parquetry are seldom seen today as few people can do it. I have tried to keep the craft going over the years by having classes.” Jason Brad Cooper of Cooper Saddlery agreed as regards to his own unique skill set. Jorgensen and Cooper keep their skills alive by teaching classes locally. Jorgensen stated that there were other dying arts crafts people living in the Santa Ynez Valley area such as clock makers and fine furniture finishers.
