Fundraising Software ResultsPlus from Metafile Helps Benedictine Health System Prepare for Tomorrow’s Growth

For the first time, Minnesota's largest Catholic long term care organization implements system wide solution to fuel fundraising growth for next 5 - 10 years

Rochester, MN, March 06, 2008 --(PR.com)-- http://www.ResultsplusSoftware.com -- Metafile's ResultsPlus, a fundraising software solution enabling large and small non-profit organizations to automate nearly all mission critical fundraising activities with minimum IT involvement, is aiding the Benedictine Health System Foundation (BHSF) in its growth efforts.

Minnesota based Benedictine Health System (BHS) is one of the country's largest Catholic non-profit organizations, providing compassionate, values-based health care via more than fifty Midwest based long-term care facilities.

As a non-profit, effective fundraising is important to BHS and its Participating Organizations, and it is absolutely critical for continued growth. The Benedictine Health System Foundation (BHSF), is actually comprised of several individual foundations, each with their own fundraising efforts and own data tracking systems. BHSF, in an effort to grow the System’s fundraising efforts, sought an organization-wide data solution that offered solid customer service and ease of use.

Challenge: Focusing On Tomorrow's Growth While Retaining Yesterday's Success

"I had to temper my desire for a necessary fundraising software upgrade with the realization that any over-arching solution would certainly include a time intensive learning curve for staff and a likely loss of some data," states Tom DeRienzo, a BHSF Associated Foundation director who helped discover ResultsPlus.

As with any non-profit organization of its size, the BHSF Associated Foundations’ legacy software systems contained years of work represented by information on thousands of donors. The systems detailed everything from contact information and standard donation amount, to names of pets and children's birthdays, information which brought a personalized touch to each of Associated Foundations’ donor outreaches.

The risks with any new software implementation ranged from the complete loss of donor contact information to a perceived drop in the personal touch BHSF's team brought to their efforts. Both areas represented data painstakingly documented that would be vital to find in any new system.

"Tom's concerns were typical of that of our ideal client," states Amanda Mallinger, a Product Manager with Metafile. "In fact, our fundraising software ResultsPlus was designed to provide the confidence needed by both large and small non-profits who rely on donor contributions."

When introducing ResultsPlus, Mallinger and the Metafile team unveiled a revolutionary, user-friendly interface that was implemented.

During implementation, the BHSF’s past data was migrated into a secure and centralized system, overseen by Metafile, with absolutely zero data loss. This system also ensured no future data loss would occur, and that for the first time authorized users would be able to securely access necessary information from any foundation or location.

"From a technical level, none of the other competitive products I looked at could match ResultsPlus in terms of usability," continues DeRienzo. "From a personal level, Metafile truly understood that retaining data from our past efforts was just as critical to our success as current and future fundraising efforts."

Once implemented, BHSF employees had instant access to the donor information they spent years accumulating. Meanwhile, the personal touch they brought was even richer as personalized donor details, previously buried, could now be found within the breadth of a keystroke.

"We're planning growth five to 10 years into the future and have added 11 Associated Foundations in the past year and a half," said Lowell Larson, BHSF president. “To continue our growth, we are looking for Metafile’s developers to be there with us, to help us with new updates and to make necessary customized modifications that BHSF deems necessary.”
