Alice Palmeri, LMT talks on the benefits of teen massage in treating stress, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and supporting emotional development and a healthy body image.

Portland, OR, May 22, 2018 --(PR.com)-- On April 10th, 2010, massage therapist Alice Palmeri gave a talk on the benefits of massage for teens. The talk was held at Tabor Space in southeast Portland, Oregon. As a massage therapist, Palmeri specializes in pediatric massage. Her practice focuses on relieving stress, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, migraines, and promoting positive body image for teenagers. Palmeri spoke for half an hour and then took questions from the group gathered.

When asked why teenagers need massage therapy, Palmeri replied, “Remember what being a teen was like? Well now imagine you had the chance to go somewhere to fully relax and unwind once a week or even once a month. A place where it was all about you. A place where you were taught ways to help let go of your worries and have time just for yourself.” Palmeri continued, “Massage also releases endorphins that help you let go of anxiety and stress. And for those kids with specific concerns such as migraines or ADHD, we can tailor the therapy to help provide relief.”

The talk ended with questions from the audience. Alice Palmeri works at Portland Pilates Collective in Southeast Portland’s Division Street area.
