Portland, OR, June 26, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Southpark Seafood is celebrating its 20 year anniversary. Over the last two decades, Southpark Seafood has served fresh, local and sustainable seafood to the Portland market.

Originally featuring Mediterranean cuisine and décor, the restaurant underwent a remodel in 2016 revealing a contemporary interior, new menu and the city’s largest oyster bar. Since then, Southpark Seafood has been rated as one of the best Portland Seafood restaurants by Willamette Week, EATER and Travel Pulse.

“At Southpark Seafood, we are deeply proud of reaching 20 years as an integral part of the city’s dining experience. We couldn’t have done it without our loyal customers, outstanding staff and invested owners,” said Jason Gerlt, General Manager of Southpark Seafood.

Owned by a local family business since day one, Southpark Seafood prides itself on sourcing the highest quality ingredients and creatively bringing flavors together. Chef Chris Robertson brings experience from New York kitchens, primarily in restaurants within the Danny Meyer empire.

“Because of our commitment to using resources in a sustainable way, in 2013 we teamed up with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch, an organization that tracks and catalogs what fish are caught by which method. From their guide, our restaurant features only best choices and good alternatives, so that we only take from the sea what it is able to replenish,” explained Jason.

To give customers insight into where its seafood, produce and other ingredients are sourced from, Southpark Seafood launched virtual farm to table tours in 2016 which resulted in winning a Bronze Adrian award for digital marketing innovation.

To celebrate 20 years, Southpark Seafood held an anniversary dinner with the Mediterranean Paella dish the restaurant originally became known for.

Southpark Seafood is open for lunch: 11:30 am – 3:00 pm; Dinner: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm; and for Happy Hour: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm – Midnight.
