Prominent San Antonio Attorney Joins Jefferson Bank’s Board of Directors

Henry B. Gonzalez III, like Jefferson Bank, has a family history of assisting underserved communities.

San Antonio, TX, June 27, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Jefferson Bank’s Board of Directors have appointed Henry B. Gonzalez III as a director, effective immediately.

Gonzalez, 49, is a founding partner of Gonzalez Chiscano Angulo & Kasson, PC. His law practice focuses on representing individuals and business entities in civil litigation pending in state and federal courts, in addition to matters in arbitration. Gonzalez has represented individuals in tort and business litigation, including claims involving professional negligence, construction defects and disputes involving intellectual property rights.

Henry currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Wade Richmond Foundation and Choose to Succeed, a non-profit involved in the support of high performing charter schools. He also serves on the fiduciary Board of Directors of IDEA Public Schools and the San Antonio Regional Advisory Board of Directors of IDEA Public Schools.

His past non- profit board service includes: Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio (including serving as the chairman of the board) and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. He has also been active with KIPP San Antonio Public Schools in various capacities, promoting the high performing charter school which serves inner-city children. Henry also assists other non-profit, charitable organizations with missions directed towards children, including the San Antonio Independent School District Foundation.

“Henry is a champion for education,” added Lewis. “He is an advocate and encourages the delivery of high quality education for traditional public schools, charter schools and private schools.”

In 1992, Gonzalez received a BA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and in 1995, a Juris Doctor from the Baylor University School of Law.

Henry is married to the former Barbie Pena. The couple has three children.
