Roots Rocker Monty Warren & The Friggin’ Whatevers Return to Swampgrass Willy's (6/30)

West Palm Beach, FL, June 29, 2018 --(PR.com)-- South Florida roots rock band, Monty Warren & The Friggin’ Whatevers, returns to Swampgrass Willy’s on Saturday, June 30 at 8:30 p.m. with their roster of original tunes and some “roots rock” covers. In the past, the group has paid homage to rock legends Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, and Mott The Hoople.

“Indy Week” states that Monty Warren & The Friggin’ Whatevers “retroactively bridges the gap between '70s pub rock/power pop and the arrivals of Tom Petty, Graham Parker and Elvis Costello.”

This night features the “usual suspect” Whatevers: Ron DeSaram (bass), Bill Meredith (drums), and special guest Stark Nolli (lead guitar) from Dayna Blitz's band, The Bad Notes.

Also on the bill is Fern Street, whose frontman David Gruitzman will play alternating acoustic solos with Monty Warren the following week, Sunday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at West Palm Brewery and Wine Vault.

“Monty and David are back by popular demand,” said Brewery owner, John Pankauski, who produces the venue’s Singer-Songwriter Summer Music Series. “They packed the house in May.”
