Announcement of Candidacy for Mayor of Chicago--Janice M. Hypolite, Accountant

This will announce the candidacy of Janice M. Hypolite for mayor of Chicago.

Chicago, IL, August 12, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The ultimate "nobody that nobody sent" is now running for the top office in city government, mayor of the city of Chicago. Ms. Hypolite is a Chicago resident who was born and raised in the city. She attended public school here and raised her family in the city as well. Seeing the changes take place over the years has prompted her race for mayor. She feels the residents, especially on the south and west sides of the city are ignored until it’s time for the election. She wants to change that. While she knows that all residents are important, she feels that some residents in the eyes of those in charge are more important than others. It is clout that counts.

Ms. Hypolite is very concerned about education and crime. If these issues are dealt with effectively, Chicago could be transformed. She feels if all young people get a good education, it will decrease crime. With a mayor who cares and will put policies in place to help the citizens, she feels that she can achieve positive outcomes for all residents.

As an accountant, Ms. Hypolite wants to bring financial stability to Chicago. After years of cronyism and lack of proper financial oversight, she hopes to stabilize the city’s financial stewardship. No more conflicts of interest or issuance of $20M contracts to political appointee’s former employers.

City government can be put on the right path with someone who is not an insider. She is not connected to anyone and will work for the people of Chicago - all of them.

Ms. Hypolite’s platform can be found on the campaign’s Facebook webpage at @hypoliteformayor.

About the candidate: Janice Hypolite is an accountant, substitute teacher, author, insurance agent and a publisher of the book, “Disorder in the Classroom.” She wrote it after working in the Chicago public Schools system as a substitute teacher. She was truly amazed at her findings while employed there.

As said before, Ms. Hypolite was born in Chicago, Illinois and has lived here most of her life. She attended public school throughout most of her elementary and high school years, and is basically a product of Chicago’s south side. After that, she married and had two daughters, Donna Stone and Deana King.

Upon graduating from Roosevelt University, she began her professional accounting career. She worked in non-profit organizations and government positions and that is basically her area of expertise in accounting. She achieved the position of controller, which is just about the top of the line for one taking that career path. She believes in physical fitness and has worked out, walked and jogged (before the broken ankle) at health clubs and parks for the past 30 years.
