Levin's Sponsors Program to Benefit Hundreds of Local At-Risk Students, One Backpack at a Time

No longer will hundreds of Cleveland-area children worry about how they’ll get their school supplies before they return to the classroom this fall with the help of Levin’s, their customers and other local businesses.

Smithton, PA, July 16, 2018 --(PR.com)-- All Levin Furniture showrooms will be collecting backpacks filled with school supplies for the Operation Backpack™ program through Volunteers of America and Cleveland 19 News (WOIO) beginning Monday, July 16 through Saturday, August 4, 2018.

Once again, Levin’s has teamed up with these groups with the shared goal of ensuring at-risk students are prepared for the 2018-19 school year. Levin’s believes all students should be given the opportunity to feel confident and ready to learn.

“It’s eye opening to see how much need there is,” said Brian Violi, Ohio regional manager for Levin’s. “But at the same time, it’s heartwarming to see how much our associates and customers step up year after year to support this great program.”

Interested donors can download the official supply list, found at https://bit.ly/2KX1fQV. Volunteers of America will distribute the items prior to the start of the school year.

All are invited to attend “Drive up and Donate Nights,” which are broadcast live during the Channel 19 evening news, and will be held at the following two Levin’s locations:
Avon (1801 Nagel Road) Tuesday, July 31; and
Oakwood Village (23100 Broadway Avenue) Thursday, August 2.
