)-- Independent film production company Frame Forty Films announced today the official pre-production status of "Camp Death III Part 2 in 3D!" The film, slated to be released in the late summer of 2021, will be the fifth feature produced by Frame Forty Films and will be the first sequel to 2018's "Camp Death III in 2D!"
The announcement of the official sequel comes hot on the heels of the completion of "Camp Death III in 2D!" “The response to 'Camp Death III in 2D!' has been overwhelmingly positive,” explains Frame Forty Films President/Owner Matt Frame, “and therefore it's a given that we should follow up the original with a 3D sequel.”
Specific details regarding the plot/casting of the announced sequel have yet to be announced. “We'll bring back several of the original cast,” declared Frame “However, the majority of their characters were killed off in the first film so we'll need to get very creative in order for them to make a repeat appearance.”
"Camp Death III in 2D!" is a comedy/horror parody of "Friday the 13th Part III in 3D" and, despite it title, is the first film in the series. “That's a joke, obviously,” states Frame.
Despite the current consumer rejection of the format, "Camp Death III Part 2 in 3D!" is slated to be shot in 3D digital. “Hopefully 3D will make another comeback before our sequel is released,” said Frame “but even if it doesn't we'll shoot the film in 3D and then make the proper release decision upon the films completion.”
"Camp Death III Part 2 in 3D!" is slated for release on Friday, August 13, 2021.
