nitenite cityhotels Wins Hotel Report "Rising Star" Award

nitenite cityhotels, operator of value boutique-style hotel rooms, won the ‘Rising Star’ award at last night’s inaugural Hotel Report Awards held in London.

Birmingham, United Kingdom, March 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- CEO of nitenite, Colin Hatt, said “I was just happy to be nominated, after all, we were up against some stiff competition. To actually win is a great thrill.”

The company was nominated by BDO. Others nominated in the same category included Simon Woodroffe (Founder of Yotel), Sanjay Nijhawan (COO of Guoman Hotels), Sinclair Beecham (Founder of Hoxton Hotel) and Felicity Black-Roberts (Director of Property, Starman).

nitenite uses cutting edge design and innovative thinking to create a hotel product that is affordable for all. The micro-boutique hotel provides well designed compact bedrooms in central city locations. The company has plans for expansion in Ireland, the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Argentina. It will be opening its first international site (a 240-room hotel) in the Mitte area of Berlin in 2008/2009.

The Hotel Report Awards, which took place at the Honourable Artillery Company in the City of London, are the only industry awards nominated and voted for by the industry itself. They are also the only hotel awards that are investor related and that are aimed at senior executives from operators and the finance and advisory community.

This award follows hot on the heels of an “Excellence in Innovation” honour that was awarded to nitenite by an independent judging panel at the recent Hotel Excellence Awards hosted by Hotel Reservation Service. The judges commended nitenite for offering clever design and value for money with friendly cosiness and comfort. “nitenite cityhotels look set to make an impact on the sometimes ‘tired’ mid-market accommodation scene,” said the judges in their citation.

nitenite is an innovative new hotel group that has built up an exciting brand to represent this unique product. They are a micro-boutique hotel, which offers four star quality and service on a miniature scale and pride themselves on their 'affordable luxury'.

The nitenite Birmingham hotel has 104 rooms that feature climate control, high quality leather and cherry wood finishes, full sized double beds with Egyptian cotton, a plasma television, wi fi access and an en-suite power shower with heated mirrors. And all this within a room of 6.8 square metres. The small room size and the ability of the hotel rooms not to have windows (none of the bedrooms at the Birmingham hotel has a window) mean that it is possible to use unconventional space in prime city centre locations to deliver exceptional value to customers.
