)-- Panacea, a Career Step company and leading provider of mid-revenue cycle management, innovative software and enterprise-level educational solutions, will be presenting at the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) California Chapter Educational Symposium September 14 in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Jeff Majchrzak, BA, CIRCC, RCC, and Vice President of Radiology and Cardiology Consulting Services at Panacea, will be speak at the conference on “CPT coding and Its Impact on Radiology.”
Mr. Majchrzak’s 75-minute session will reveal where medical coders can find core information that will lead to precise charge capture, as well as explain and expound upon the Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) and its nuances. Mr. Majchrzak will also allow time for questions and answers.
“CPT coding is an enduring hot topic in the radiology space,” said Mr. Majchrzak. “Although we have been tackling it for over 25 years, the vast number of options in bundling or packaging codes can still muddy the waters. After code assignment, issues that lurk just below the surface may have a major impact on billing and reimbursement for the services your providers have performed.”
“Communicating with those professionals who are on the frontlines of reimbursement in the healthcare industry is central to who we are at Panacea,” said Ted Barduson, President and General Manager of the company. “Our goal is to provide them with the tools and talent they need to ensure optimum coding, compliance, data integrity and reimbursement. Participating in RBMA’s annual symposium is the perfect opportunity to share the insider knowledge that is in this company’s DNA.”
