George Foreman 50th Anniversary of His Gold Medal Win in the 1968 Olympics

Join Idaho for a historical celebration as we honor George Foreman in a Live Red Carpet awards show celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his Gold Medal win in the 1968 Olympics. Friday, October 12th, 7:00 PM at the Boise Convention Centre.

Boise, ID, October 01, 2018 --(PR.com)-- In a Red Carpet Event at the Boise Convention Centre, former Heavyweight Boxing Champion George Foreman will be joined by his friends and a lineup of celebrities to honor him on the 50th anniversary of his gold medal win in the 1968 Olympics, as he is presented with the 2018 Idaho World Sports/Entertainment Humanitarian Award for his charitable works. For 35 years, George Foreman has given troubled youth a sense of purpose with his Youth & Community Center.

Scheduled to appear with George is Jim Lampley of HBO Sports, Leon Hughes and Larry Hicks from the original musical group The Coasters, Jonnetta Patton – (Usher’s Mom), Jimmy Ellis and three-time Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong.

The award and event committee includes actor/producers Trinity Maye and Brett Dayne, award winning Screenwriter/actor Randall R. Reese, along with Knockout Punches, Roy Foreman, Inner Beauty Organization, 6Degrees Management and Max Mohammadi. More celebrities attending will be announced as they are confirmed. KTVB’s Mark Johnson will be the event’s host and presenter.
