Los Angeles, CA, March 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Mekka Don: The “Legal” Hustler Reality Series:

Mekka Don: The “Legal” Hustler is a reality series centered around the life of Emeka Onyejekwe, aka “Mekka Don”. He is a 26 year old lawyer in New York City who graduated from NYU School of Law in 2006 and was working as an associate at one of the top ten law firms in the world. Many of us would give their dominant arm to be in such a situation, but after a little less than a year, he left. With or without knowing his exact reason for leaving, many have questioned this decision, calling it “stupid,” “premature,” and “immature”.

Since a young age, Mekka Don has had a deep interest in music. He began toying with raps around the age of 8 and in college he was a drummer in a band with his brother. If you listen to him tell it, he will say, “Music is my calling. God spoke to me and I listened.” Last spring, Mekka Don left his prestigious job in Corporate America to pursue Hip Hop. Is he crazy? To many it appears so, but Mekka will confidently tell you that, “Hip Hop needs a change. It needs to be revitalized with new and positive energy. It is such a powerful tool and mechanism to move politics, and if done the right way, it can be used to change millions of peoples’ lives for the better.”

Mekka Don: The “Legal” Hustler is a six episode series that premiered on YouTube on Monday March 10, 2008 on www.youtube.com/mekkadonmusic. It will run for six weeks and will air every Monday during that time span. Each episode is roughly eight minutes long and explores the day in the life of Mekka Don since leaving his job to pursue a career in Hip Hop. Although Mekka Don left his job, he still participates in a number of “legal” hustles to stay afloat. He is an entrepreneur amongst other things and maneuvers through different social circles from business to entertainment. As a result, celebrities, athletes and other characters appear frequently throughout the show. The diversity of Mekka Don’s thought and experience as well as the criticism that he receives make for an interesting drama. What will he do now? What if he doesn’t make it in the music industry? How is he handling the critics? How is he paying rent?

Mekka Don says Snoop Dogg's endorsement of The "Legal" Hustler was encouragement for him that people from different walks of life will embrace the messages in his music. Mekka Don is releasing a mixtape with DJ Mick Boogie on March 31st, entitled "Law and Order".

The “Legal” Hustler is produced by V. Anthony Boreland and Emeka Onyejekwe. For more information on the show or Mekka Don, please visit www.youtube.com/mekkadonmusic
