EDI Media Inc. Successfully Hosted Their 14th Annual Chinese American Film Festival and Chinese American TV Festival Activities

The 2018 14th Annual Chinese American Film Festival (CAFF) and Chinese American TV Festival (CATF) activities were successfully hosted by EDI Media Inc. The CAFF Golden Angel Award Ceremony and Opening Ceremony was held at the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Hollywood and the CATF Golden Angel Award Ceremony was held at Writer’s Guild of America Theatre West (WGAW) in Beverly Hills.

Los Angeles, CA, November 20, 2018 --(PR.com)-- This year’s festival was a much-anticipated film celebration; participants included thousands of film and TV industry leaders, political figures, celebrities, overseas Chinese community leaders and business elites. The CAFF and CATF schedule included the following events:

The chairman of CAFF & CATF, President of EDI Media Inc., James Su expressed his thanks to everyone in attendance at the CAFF Golden Angel Award Ceremony. Chairman Su described CAFF and the film and TV industry as, “Not only a platform for cooperation but a chance to contribute and promote the Chinese-American cultural exchange. Good films and television projects are an extension of every culture which is the backbone of a nation.” He hopes CAFF and CATF can continue to make contributions to the integration of Chinese and American cultures.

During the CAFF, actress Li Bingbing was honored twice with the Golden Angel Award for “Best Actress” for her role in Warner Bros. “The Meg” and “Chinese American Film Art Exchange and Contribution Award” for her contributions bringing both cultures together through film. Anthony Gonzalez, the voice for Miguel in Disney’s Award-winning film “Coco” was honored as the “Best New Actor.” Coco was in the top 5 highest grossing U.S. film in China between September 2017-September 2018.

During the CATF Golden Angel Award Ceremony, Jin Dong received the Golden Angel Award for Best Actor for "Mr. Right," Qin Lan received the Golden Angel Award for Best Actress for “Story of Yanxi Palace.” Zach McGowan was honored with the Golden Angel Award for “Outstanding U.S. Actor” for his leading roles on Black Sails, The Walking Dead, Shameless, The 100 and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
