Female Tackle Football Champion and Blitz Champz Creator Inducted Into Hall of Fame

New York, NY, November 20, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Adrienne Smith, professional women’s tackle football champion, has been inducted into the Women’s Football Hall of Fame. Smith’s tackle football career has spanned more than a decade, during which time she won two gold medals as a member of the 2010 and 2013 U.S. women’s national tackle football teams, and two national championships as a member of the Boston Militia (currently known as the Boston Renegades). Smith is one of 36 women being inducted into the inaugural class of the Women’s Football Hall of Fame.

“Football has been one of the most positive aspects of my life. The sport has allowed me to travel the world, develop life-long friendships, and create international platforms that promote athleticism, education, and gender equality,” says Smith.

In addition to being a hall-of-famer, the Columbia Business School MBA graduate is also the founder of Gridiron Queendom, an advocacy organization that encourages female participation in football. “I created Gridiron Queendom to unify and promote the efforts of women and girls around the globe who play tackle and flag football,” states Smith.

Smith’s most recent innovation regarding football is Blitz Champz, a football-themed card game for ages 7 to adult. Smith designed Blitz Champz to replicate the fun and competition of playing football, while also serving as an educational tool for learning math. In 2017, Blitz Champz was selected as a National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA) winner, and is currently available at Amazon.com, UncommonGoods.com, and Walmart.com.

Whether on or off the field, Smith is committed to continuing to utilize her passion for football as a means of empowering and inspiring others.
