The Memory Game - A Fine Art Photography Project in Process

Show of conceptual art project in progress to be updated throughout the month as Dover, NH artist Phoenix Mayet continues her work.

Dover, NH, December 18, 2018 --(PR.com)-- W.I.P. is an acronym for Work in Progress – WIP: The Memory Game is an exhibition of that process unfolding in real time with Dover artist, Phoenix Mayet. Phoenix will show work from her photography project The Memory Game, begun earlier this year. The exhibition at A Freethinker’s Corner in Dover will present the materials of her creative process – photographs, drawings, alternate images, and research materials will be gathered to offer viewers an inside look at the development of this conceptual art project. Viewers can look forward to the introduction of new material throughout the month as the artist continues her work.

Looking through the prism of her own experiences, The Memory Game examines those events from early childhood that shape us as human beings. The knowledge of death and our own mortality, guilt, love, and belonging are just a few of the watershed experiences or “limit situations” which have been identified by psychologists and philosophers as events that develop our world views. These pivotal situations and the memories associated with them will be examined through the prism of the artist’s own childhood experiences.
